I’m going to change things up a bit and highlight a cocktail this week. Last summer, I discovered Moscow Mules, and I’ve been waiting for warm weather to start drinking them again. I’m obsessed! My favorite Moscow Mule recipe is from a local distillery in Nashville, Corsair. The difference in their recipe is vanilla vodka. Traditionally served in a copper mug, to keep it super cold, it’s a refreshing drink by the pool or on your favorite patio.
Vanilla Mint Moscow Mule (Corsair Style)
2 oz. Corsair Vanilla Bean Vodka
4 oz. ginger beer
3 large mint leaves
1 lime wheel
Muddle lime and mint, then build on ice. Add vodka and beer. Garnish with mint spring.
Tips: Don’t skimp on the lime – it makes a huge difference. Ginger beer is in the soft drink section. I’ve had these mugs on my wish list for a long time! Having a mule in one just once, changed my opinion on whether or not I needed them or not! If you’ll be partaking in plenty this summer, it’s worth the investment.
